Integrated service solution with satellite communication system

Since 2006, PSN has provided integrated services for government agencies for disaster mitigation purposes.

PSN provides and is also responsible for the maintenance of the siren system as part of the Indonesian Tsunami Early Warning System (Ina-TEWS) by utilizing satellite as the main communication link in disaster situations.

Ina-TEWS

The Early Warning System in Indonesia (InaTEWS) is a comprehensive system and is developing as a public warning tool that can be used outdoors and is suitable for various applications designed by PSN.

This system is very flexible and capable of managing warning systems in small communities that can be expanded to large scale. This early warning system is integrated with regional and national warning systems.

InaTEWS provides all the necessary functions to maintain the security of an information system, is responsive and reliable by the public because it is able to broadcast emergency response warning information quickly.

The design of the InaTEWS system is based on the concept of an integrated national warning system with a hierarchical management system architecture and consists of Regional/ Community Control Centers and National/ Central Control Centers.

Until 2015, the Indonesian Tsunami Early Warning System (Ina-TEWS) provided by PSN amounted to 55 units. In addition, PSN also provides disaster dissemination services via DVB/WRS which have been installed in 261 locations. This project was organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
