Jakarta, 25 June 2025 – PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN), the first private satellite company in Indonesia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CTech, a subsidiary of Turkish Aerospace Industries, to form a partnership for collaboration on the solutions for satellite communications on the move. The signing was conducted by Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN)’s CEO, Adi Rahman Adiwoso, and CTech Deputy General Manager of Corporate Marketing and Sales, Ejder Veli Arslan, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at PSN office located in Mega Kuningan, Jakarta.

This collaboration represents a strategic step for PSN to meet Indonesia’s need for nationwide satellite-based mobile connectivity. CTech was chosen as a partner because it is the leading designer and manufacturer of Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS) communication devices, bringing more than 20 years of experience. Its parent company, Turkish Aerospace Industries, is the largest defense and aerospace company in Turkey.

Pasifik Satelit Nusantara President Director, Adi Rahman Adiwoso, stated that the collaboration marks a pivotal step towards advancing Indonesia’s satellite communication initiatives. The synergy between the two companies will involve aligning technical systems to ensure interoperability between CTech’s technology and PSN’s satellite network, as well as pursuing joint innovation in other areas of satellite communication.

“This partnership is a strategic step toward strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global satellite communications ecosystem. By partnering with CTech, we aim to provide reliable, efficient, and tailored mobile communication solutions that address Indonesia’s vast and complex geographical landscape. We are confident that this collaboration will pave the way for accelerated digital transformation in critical sectors such as transportation, maritime, and national defense,” Adi Rahman said on Wednesday (25/6).

The satellite communication system that has been developed can advance Indonesia’s satellite technology significantly. It enables users to receive satellite network signals while moving from one location to another, making it suitable for use on planes, ships, or other vehicles.

The communication system is developed using PSN’s satellite network to support mobile connectivity through the national satellite infrastructure. It is designed for seamless use across multiple devices or platforms, ensuring reliable connectivity on land, at sea, and in the air.

CTech Deputy General Manager of Marketing and Sales, Ejder Veli Arslan expressed pride in working with PSN to support the development of the mobile satellite communication in Indonesia, particularly given Indonesia’s vast potential in advancing satellite communication technology.

“We will combine our expertise in Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS) technology with PSN’s national satellite network to deliver a robust and adaptive connectivity solution. We view PSN as a strategic partner with a strong vision and infrastructure. This collaboration is not only about developing current technologies, but also about investing in the future of mobile connectivity across Southeast Asia,”  Ejder Veli Arslan explained.
